Table games.-An apparatus for use in a game wherein metal discs are thrown so as to bridge sheet metal conductors arranged in the same horizontal surface, comprises a number of sheet metal conductors of the same polarity all of which conductors are completely enclosed by a common sheet metal conductor of opposite polarity the common conductor extending over or around substantially the whole playing area of the hoard. In one arrangement, Fig. 2, a single sheet N of metal of one polarity encloses a number of strips and playing card symbols P of opposite polarity, and the players endeavour to throw pennies D<1> so as to bridge the contacts N, P. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 3, the inner conductor is formed in several insulated sections all of the same polarity and assembled to represent a house. When contact with the enclosing plate is made by means of the pennies the windows of the house are illuminated or a bell is rung. In a modification, the inner sections are arranged to represent a cat, successful throws illuminating the eyes or operating indicating devices at the rear of the board. In a further modification, Fig. 4, pennies thrown so as to connect the contacts P with the enclosing plate cause windows b<1> in goal posts 17 to be illuminated.
