424,900. Board - game apparatus. HAWKINS, W. B., 109, Hartington Road, Sefton Park, Liverpool. Oct. 7, 1933, No. 27628. [Class 132 (ii)] Apparatus for a bagatelle game simulating table cricket comprises an inclined board 1 having a central channel 3 up which a steel ball is propelled by a bat or otherwise, obstructing pins 7, and scoring recesses or apertures 6 representing various scoring strokes or penalties such as, stumped, caught, lbw., &c., some of the apertures 6 being located in channels 8 into which the ball may pass through gaps 9. Every hole 6 has an electric contact mechanism wired to an electric score indicator housed, for example, in a miniature pavilion 15 detachably secured to the board, the scores being displayed on transparent panels 19, Fig. 2, illuminated by corresponding lamps 14, when the corresponding hole 6 is entered by the ball. The pavilion houses a battery 23, and a detachable partition 17 to which the lamps 14 are secured. The lamps are enclosed by cells 22 secured to the casing 21 and are electrically connected to contact studs 25 adapted to abut against corresponding contacts in the board 1 when the pavilion is secured to the board by the nut 16. The board may be coloured green or covered with green baize and its inclination may be adjusted by means of three screwed feet 29.
