Abstract

273,184. Haase, M. Jan. 11, 1927. Monogrammic signs. - In monogrammic advertising apparatus in which perforated switch plates in the form of an endless chain are actuated by octagonal drums, the plates 1 are made conducting and are fitted with inter-changeable contact pins inserted into the holes. The apparatus is actuated by a pair of levers 13 that rotate one of the drums 11 by a pawl 21 on their downward movement and position the appropriate switch plate 1 against contacts 26 on their upward movement. The levers carry a block 15 having conical pins 30 to engage holes 29 in the plates to effect the positioning. A switch 25 is closed in the uppermost position of the levers and a pawl 23 locks the drum 11. The plates are strung together by rings 9 passing through slots 7 in the plates, as shown in Fig. 4. Contact is made with the plates by a wiper 31.
