Abstract

272,566. Etablissements E. Desroziers. Dec. 31, 1925, [Convention date]. Cone. - In friction discs for brakes &c. and of the kind comprising a metallic core with a ring of friction material attached near its periphery, the core comprises a number of separate plates connected solely by the friction material in which the plates are embedded. The plates A, are of segmental shape arranged in spaced relation along a circle, and their outer edges project beyond the friction material. When large plates J are employed, cuts K, L are formed towards the interior and exterior of the disc to allow for deformation of the plates due to heat during baking or rise. Ribs on the part on which the disc is mounted engage the spaces between the plates or notches C formed in their edges. The plates are indented or perforated to ensure adherence of the friction material which is applied by casting and compression followed by baking. Specification 263,767 is referred to.
