Abstract
271,455. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Compagnie des Lampes). May 21, 1926, [Convention date]. Securing reflectors &c. to holders.- A groove-necked reflector, globe or the like B is secured to a holder A by means of two or more fixed studs F, carried by the base of the holder and one or more movable studs H carried by an independent ring D and passing through apertures in the base of the holder. The ring slides over the holder and rests on a seating K at the bottom of the holder, and has a button stamped in relief adapted to engage in a corresponding hollow in the holder. The studs F may be made of solid metal, resiliency being provided by means of saw cuts E, or they mav be made of resilient metal plates. In a modfiied form the ring may be hinged to the holder, preferably between the studs F, and the studs H may then be carried by springs mounted on the holder and forced inwardly by means of the ring. The holder may comprise a number of arms the lower ends of which may be connected by a fixed ring carrying the studs F and the seating K, or they may be independent and provided with projections for carrying the ring D.
