The systems described are similar to those described in Specification 251,301, with the exception that in the system shown in Fig. 6 of the present applioation, an adjustable bias potential can be applied to the grids 30, 31 by a source 24<1> connected between the cathode 24 and the secondary of the transformer 36, the primary of which is supplied by the phase shifting device 38.
