Vehicle and like lamps. - A cup-shaped metal shield 5 is clipped over the lower half of the lamp bulb so as to extend above the level of the filament and is clipped on to the bulb by flaps 8 on either side of an incision 6 embracing the bulb neck, this incision together with the flaps being such as to allow a slight fore and aft adjustment in order to vary the area exposed at the front end of the bulb.
