Gearing for starting machinery requiring both hands of operator to be occupied.-A device for controlling the circuit of a motor that operates a garment or other press and requiring operation by both hands simultaneously, comprises a sliding rod 10 operating a push rod 8 carrying contacts for making and breaking the motor circuit, and a second sliding rod 21. The rod 10 is locked by the engagement of one of the pawls 18, 19 with one of the collars 13, 14 unless such pawl has been rocked and maintained against a spring out of the path of the collar by actuation of the second rod 21.
