Abstract

268,733. Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges. April 1, 1926, [Convention date]. Automatic and semi-automatic exchange systems.-The speed of operation of a relay Th is adjusted by connecting in series with it the highresistance winding I and in parallel the lowresistance winding II of a relay T. The current induced in winding II by that in winding I, according to the arrangement of the windings, assists or opposes the energizing current through relay Th, and thereby renders it quick-acting or slow-acting. The connecting point of relay Th may be movable along the winding of relay T. Fig. 3 shows the application of the invention to a non-numerical step-by-step switch, in which the test circuit includes a relay Th2 made quickacting by relay T2 for opening the circuit of the driving magnet D. In a modification, the windings of relay T2 are connected in parallel instead of in series.
