268,589. Lees, G. M., and Guinness, Son, & Co., Ltd., A. June 8, 1926. Filling with liquids.-A racking cock is suspended from a pulley 1 having a peripheral counterweight 6 by means of a chain 7. The position of the counterweight is at top dead-centre as shown, when the cock is in the bunghole, so that the weight of the suspended parts assists in keeping the cock therein. A stop 3<x> is provided, to limit the movement of the weight, which can be adjusted to compensate for various diameters of barrels to be filled. The effective length of the chain 7 can be varied by means of a bar 13 having a projecting stud which engages in one of a series of lateral openings 10 in a tube 8.
