Abstract
268,145. Weguelin, W. H. April 13, 1926. Cleaners for tobacco pipes and cigarette holders.-A cleaner for the base of the stem of a tobacco pipe or a cigarette holder comprises a channel-shaped scraper a which may be drawn into and out of case b past a wiper i which has a slot corresponding to the shape of the scraper. The scraper, which comprises a blade of steel or other material and is S-shaped in crosssection, is moved by a pin e which passes through a longitudinal slot f in the case b and is engaged by a helical groove or slot in a sleeve d which may be rotated in an outer casing c by a cap h. Alternatively, the pin may project through a longitudinal slot in an outer casing, the cleaner being moved directly by the pin.
