Abstract

261,854. Old, A. E. Aug. 29, 1925. Tobacco pipes and cigar and cigarette holders.-In a mouthpiece provided with a non-return valve 1 past which the smoke is drawn, the means for limiting the movement of the ball away from its seat are such as to allow the use of a pipe cleaner 6. As shown in Fig. 3, the valve is retained by a cross-pin 5 and lateral recesses 7 are provided for the ball valve. The recesses may be shaped to prevent the valve from being moved towards its seat 4 by the cleaner, or may be elongated towards the seat.
