Balls of twine.- Binder twine balls, cross - wound bobbins, and the like such as are used in harvestermachinery &c. and are wound off from the inside, are provided with a stopper 2 by means of which the free end 5 is secured in a position ready for use. The stopper may have a central hole and the free end threaded therethrough as shown, or the end may be left inside and a knot tied therein, or a stopper like a thimble may be used to wedge the free end in a projecting position. The stopper may extend throughout the length of the hole in the ball.
