Abstract

267,694. Hird, B. W. Feb. 24, 1926. Knives, cleaning and washing.-Safety razor blades, knives. &c. are dried by passing the blade between rollers 27, 28 of absorbent material such as blotting paper, paper pulp, &c. the rollers being pressed together by springs and rotated frictionally by the blade. As shown, the rollers are mounted on wire bearings at the upper ends of the limbs of a wire frame 21, the limbs being urged towards each other by springs 23. In a modification the rollers are carried on axles mounted one above the other with the ends of the axles in vertical slots formed in the upturned ends of a tray-like base, the springs being tethered to the axles.
