Abstract
267,580. Robinson & Son, Ltd., T., Robinson, C. J., and Robinson, W. N. Nov. 19, 1925. Density separators. - In a twin cyclone separator each unit of which consists of an upper cylindrical portion 3 with a lower conical portion 4 the air is delivered to the second separator under pressure by a fan 8 which draws air into the first separator by suction. The central air discharge trunks 6 of the separators extend below the level of the cylindrical upper portions 3 and may have perforations 12 at their lower ends which may also be formed with inclined projections to catch the air. Mid-feathers 11 prevent swirling inside the trunks 6.
