Abstract

267,563. Vernaz, A. March 12, 1926, [Convention date]. Rasps.-A hollow rasp comprises a frame a of hollow semicircular form, on which is slidably fitted a blade c perforated with boles d through which the chips &c. may pass. The blade is made of thin metal, either flat or half round, and the perforations have their axis inclined to the blade the teeth thus formed being set to constitute cutting edges. Either the blade or the frame a may have its longitudinal edges shaped to form a groove to accommodate the longitudinal edges of the cooperating part. The frame a is carried by a handle b. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the holes d may be disposed in straight lines, chevrons, &c. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
