Medicines for internal use.-For vitaminizing an oil intended for use in medicine or for food purposes a vitamin concentrate possessing objectionable flavour and smell is dissolved in the oil and the resulting solution is subjected to a mild refining treatment i.e. a refining treatment in the absence of air and at low temperature. The concentrate may contain soap-like substances and the refining treatment then comprises the addition of an aqueous solution of calcium chloride to precipitate the soaps as calcium soaps. Or if the concentrate contains free fatty acid this may be neutralized with an alkaline solution.
