Abstract

265,494. Hertzka, G. Oct. 5, 1926. Aluminous cements are obtained by heating the raw materials for at least 30 hours to a temperature between 1150‹ C. and the melting point of the mixture, and preferably cooling the product slowly over a further period of at least 30 hours. A preheating treatment lasting 24 hours or more may precede the heating process. The raw materials may be comparatively coarsely ground.
