Abstract

265,473. Bremer Silberwarenfabrik Akt.-Ges. Aug. 23, 1926. Addition to 256,514, [Class 128, Table articles &c.]. Spoons and forks.-The invention of the parent Specification is modified by forming the recesses in the flat blank, in which the reinforcing silver plates are soldered, by milling instead of by a pressing operation, the silver plate c being made so as to fit exactly the recess so formed. When the reinforced surface of the finished article, such as a spoon, is convex in shape, the plate c is made thick enough to allow a portion to project above the surface of the blank, Fig. 4, the plate taking the shape shown in Fig. 5 when the article is finished. To prevent blistering during soldering, a solder is used which can be applied without the use of borax by rolling a metallic sheet of solder on to the lower face of the silver plate.
