Lids. - In a cigarette case having a lid 11 slidably mounted upon the body 10 of the case the relative movement of the lid and body is limited by a plate 19 the larger part of which is arranged parallel to the face of the body, and one end 26 of which is bent outwardly so as to engage the flange 25 of the lid. The plate is fixed with respect to the body by the engagement of members 22 with projections 24 upon a plate 13 which is secured within the body. The inner edges of the members 22 are preferably arranged at an angle to permit ready entrance of the projections 24 therebetween. The plates 13, 19 form a recess adapted to receive a spring feed mechanism 15 for the cigarettes.
