262,601. British Dyestuffs Corporation, Ltd., Jackson, H., and Carter, D. Dec. 18, 1925. Coating processes; varnishes.-Uni- or multicoloured effects are produced on materials by bringing them into contact with solutions of nitrocellulose (particularly in the form of celluloid) containing pigments or other colours, and floating on a water surface. A suitable solution comprises nitro-cellulose such as celluloid film scrap, amyl acetate acetone, benzene and pigment or dyestuff.
