Abstract

1,242,905. Dyeing polyesters. FARBWERKE HOECHST A.G. 23 Sept., 1968 [21 Sept., 1967], No. 45008/68. Heading C3R. Polyesters are coloured prior to the final moulding with a dyestuff pigment that contains at least one grouping of the formula or in which R 1 represents H or an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl group and R2 represents an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl group. Especially suitable are pigments containing these groupings in an optionally substituted phthalocyanine-metal compound, in an anthraquinoid or indigoid vat dyestuff, in a naphthalene- or perylene-tetracarboxylic acid, dioxazine or quinacridone dyestuff, in a metalliferous monoazo pigment or in a metal-free diazo pigment. Polyesters mentioned are polyethylene terephthalate and poly(1,4-dimethylolcyclohexaneterephthalate), and in the examples the dyestuffs used were copper-thalocyanino trisulphonic acid anilide, tetraphenylcopper-phthalocyanine trisulphonic acid anilide and chlorinated-copper-phthalocyanine trisulphonic acid anilide.
