Abstract

1310756 Monoazo pigments FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 7 May 1970 [7 May 1969] 22124/70 Heading C4P [Also in Divisions C3 and D1] New water-insoluble monoazo dyes, free from water-solubilizing groups, of formula wherein A is the residue of a carbocyclic or heterocyclic aromatic diazo component, R is an aryl group and X 1 and X 2 are H or halogen atoms or C 1-6 alkyl or alkoxy groups are prepared by azo coupling using appropriate components. They are used to colour natural and synthetic fibres and synthetic polymers in red shades.
