Abstract
261,732. Allgemeine Ges. f³r Chemische Industrie. Nov. 19, 1925, [Convention date]. Separating gases by liquefaction. - Liquid sulphur dioxide which has absorbed water and been vaporized in course of use for refining hydrocarbons &c. is dried by condensation, the liquid formed in the first stage and containing the whole of the water being separated from the remaining dry gas. The gas may be distilled from the watery condensate. The condenser may be tapped at a suitable point or it may be divided into a preliminary and a final condenser.
