Abstract

260,785. Fornaca, G. Nov. 24, 1925. Connecting forecarriages, bogies, and centrallypivoted and radial axles for steering.-In vehicles in which equi-angular turning of the two driven axles is effected by crossed pivoted rods 7, 10, one end of each rod is ball-jointed, so that the frames 1, 4 may oscillate relatively in the vertical plane. Steering is effected by means of worm gearing, a lever 15 pivoted on a cross-piece 3, and ropes 13, 14, forming with the cross-piece 6 a parallelogram. One or two rigid rods may be used in place of the ropes, in which case the arms 7, 10 are replaced by an arm in two parts which may rotate relatively to one another.
