Loaded cables.-A magnetic material particularly for use in continuous inductive loading comprises nickel and iron in such proportions and heat-treated in such a manner that when subjected to low flux densities and worked below saturation point it has substantially constant permeability over its working range. When the material is used for the continuous loading of conductors, the heat-treatment may be applied to the loaded conductor.
