Saucepans.-An adjustable device for use in saucepans for holding down vegetables during cooking consists of a disc A of wire mesh or perforated metal provided at opposite sides with wire handle members B slidable beneath guide parts E, the members B terminating in upwardly extending waved parts I adapted to engage the outside wall of the paw. The parts I at each side and the intermediate bends G are connected by curved tie members J, K. The device serves also for straining vegetables and for other purposes.
