Abstract

259,561. Parlongue, E. H. C. J. Oct. 12, 1925, [Convention date]. Moving platforms.-Passengers are transferred at gradually increasing speed to a moving platform by an endless conveyer comprising a series of rods 3 which are connected by springs 5 contained in open-sided casings 6 and are propelled by rotary members 1. The rods 3 rest on guides 4 and have depending members 3<a> which engage helical grooves 2 in the members 1. The pitch of each helix gradually increases in the direction of the platform.
