Change-box motions.-A twocompartment shuttle box C is provided with a partition c<2> and outside adjustable brackets C<1> C<2> fixed to slide rods C<3>. Rods n<2> connect crank pins n<1> on a bracket N on a wheel m<1> with crank pins n<3> on a bracket on the shuttle box back, and the wheel m<1> is connected by a train of gearing to a wheel M on a spindle b. Hooked rods D, D<1> pivoted to a lever A, which is connected to the wheel M and is pivoted to the lay brackets B, are moved into or out of position to engage cross bars h, h<1> on a spring-controlled bracket H by connections E, E<1>, F, f, f<1> to the dobby or pattern chain, so that the lever A and wheel M may be turned, whereby the wheel m<1> is turned to move the shuttle boxes from one position to the other. These are retained in position by the engagement of a spring-controlled check plate B' against flats m<4> on the wheel M, or the lever A may be extended to engage a notched bar as in the parent Specification.
