Abstract
A vehicle (34, fig.1) with a temperature regulation system 30 for a compartment 32, the system having a compartment duct 36 which supplies the compartment with a first airflow B, generated, in use, when the vehicle is in motion. There is a thermoelectric module 40 associated with a source of electrical energy 46 which transfers heat from a first side 42 located in the first airflow and a second side 44 located externally to the duct and in a second air flow A which is generated, in use, when the vehicle is in motion. A controller 48 controls the electrical potential between the two sides to cause heat to flow as desired to heat or cool the compartment dependent on a required temperature. The second airflow may be conveyed in a reservoir duct and there may be multiple compartments and compartment ducts and the controller may control flowrate of the one or more first airflows. A flow switch may control first airflow and a fan 52 may be used to increase first or second airflow. There may be a generator to generate electrical energy from kinetic energy of each fan by any airflow to store or supply the thermoelectric module.
