Abstract

258,227. Fouillaron, J. Sept. 14, 1925, [Convention date]. Expanding pulley gearing is operated by levers 5 which are resiliently pivoted in yokes 17 and controlled through a screwed shaft S. The pulley flanges 3 slide on feathers on driving and driven shafts 2 and are opened out or closed in alternatively by the pivotal motion of the levers 5. The yokes 17 are braced together in pairs by bolts 19 and are pivoted in turn at 18 upon spring boxes 10. Within each box is a pair of springs 16 bearing upon a nut 14 screwing upon a shaft 12, which is turned for adjustment of the levers 5. The springs 16 are themselves adjusted by nuts 15 upon the abutment nuts 14.
