Cyilinders, combustion chambers of, and arrangement of igniters in. - A side-valve engine has a combustion chamber c which extends entirely across the cylinder and is of less width than the cylinder bore as shown in plan in Fig. 3. A sloping part c<3>, having a socket h for the sparking plug, merges at c<4> into the cylinder walls and is arched in cross-section.
