Abstract

A reusable tile spacer has four legs at 90 degrees to each other to ensure alignment and spacing of a plurality of tiles. A further (fifth) leg is positioned orthogonal to these legs and to the plane that is being tiled. The fifth leg or projection is used as a means to grip or hold the spacer and to withdraw or remove it from between the tiles after they have set. The gripper leg may be integral with the spacer or may be detachable from the spacer. The spacer may be made in any colour.

Description

Description, including a FullSpecification of Reusable Tile Spacers.Overcoming the problem of tile adhesive on the hands of the artisan placing tile spacers and thereby speeding up tile placement and subsequent grouting significantly; so that most PlYers will benefit greatly. Consisting of a SHAPED CROSS with all angles at degrees plus a CrRIPPER
LEG as an added extra either as illustrated here c/bbeing part of the moulding or as an easily \rdetachable screw OR push-on component affixed (>po the centre of the Xpart to enable simple ^placement and either simple removal of said X or the ability of easy leg removal to enable said X to remain in situ. If the whole unit is removed it may be reused many times if required or moulded for single use only by varying material used for construction and incorporating a detachable leg or non detachable if intended for re-use. AH edges or corners may be either rounded or straight. (ISO words approximately).
