Abstract

A cement admixture with a low molecular weight alkylamine compound or oxyalkylamine compound for which either autogenous shrinkage or drying shrinking reducing activity is demonstrated. The admixture includes one or more of (A) 2-Butylaminoethanol, (B) Butylmethylamine, (C) Diethylmethylamine, (D) 3-Ethoxypropylamine, or (E) 3-Propoxypropylamine. The admixture may be dissolved in water prior to mixing with cement.
