Abstract

256,691. Barton, J., and Barton, W. May 13, 1925. Plug couplings.-The free member of a multiple plug coupling has its contact elements shrouded on all sides except the face to prevent accidental contact, and the contact elements are unsymmetrically distributed to ensure correct coupling. The sockets 8 are inserted in a block 3 of insulating material, the front end of the sockets abutting against shoulders 11 and the rear being enclosed by a cover 12. Separate channels 4 are provided for the leads. The plug member 14 has flanges 19 that shroud the contacting faces when the two members are in engagement.
