Description

The present invention relates to lumbar massagers.
This invention is a product to provide comfort and flexibility, for use anywhere you are using a chair for example at home, work, or in a car. When you are in a car during long or short distances and suffer with a disability such as a herniated disk, osteoarthritis, groin pain, lumber spine problems, muscle ligaments or tendons it is very difficult to sit down using regular bodily movements without sever discomfort and loss of feeling and numbness. This can be from the hips, waist, or lower lumbar through the buttock and down the thighs.
According to the present invention, there is provided a lumbar massager, the massager comprising:
• channelling which defines an endless circulatory channel;
• a plurality of balls which are located in the channel;
• an impelling device which moves the balls along the channel, • the balls being arranged so that, in use, the moving balls massage a user sitting on and/or against the massager.
Possibly, the massager defines a plurality of separate circulatory channels.
Possibly, the massager comprises a spinal zone, which, in use locates against or towards the user's spine. Possibly, the massager defines two sets of channels, which may be located with one set on each lateral side of the spinal zone. Possibly, each set defines one or more channels.
Possibly, the massager includes a heater, which may extend along the spinal zone and may extend across lateral zones, which may be above the channel(s) and may be extend either lateral side of the spinal zone. Possibly, the heating device is T-shaped.
Possibly, the balls are held in a carrier, which may be located in the channel. The carrier may be moved along the channel by the impelling device.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings which:
