255,742. Chester, P. Feb. 3, 1926. Coal boxes.-The coal emptied into the top of a coal box is graded by a plurality of transverse grids 3, 8 and may be withdrawn through separate doors 9, 10. To prevent the escape of dust, sector-shaped wings 12 are provided beneath the lid 2. The grid preferably slopes downwardly from both the back and front edges as shown at 8 in Fig. 1.
