Abstract
255,595. Sefton, T., and Riley, T. H. May 29, 1925. Rollers.-The necks of rollers for mules, ring spinning machines, drawing frames, and similar machines used in preparing and spinning cotton or other fibrous material are of diminishing diameter from their centres so as to form a ridge 8 upon which the weight-hook is mounted, so that fluff or dirt tends to be displaced from the hook and gathers in cavities 9 in the rollers. The rollers are ordinarily leathercovered and may be integral with the neck and journals 6, or one or both may be secured on a shaft 7 by shrinking, or by means of set screws 12, and abut against a shoulder 10.
