Abstract

Disclosed is a security device suitable for attachment to an item of cargo, comprising: an operational unit provided with a position determiner and a transmitter, the transmitter being operable to transmit a position of the device periodically and/or in response to an alarm condition; and a monitored cable, arranged to be intertwined with the cargo, whereby if a circuit comprising the monitored cable is interrupted an alarm condition is generated.
