253,834. Hawley (Speciality Works) Ltd., J. J., and Hawley, H. Feb. 26, 1926. Ladders.-Relates to ladders of the kind having side members 1 of rope or other flexible material brought together at one end of the ladder and twisted or secured together, and consists in providing the common portion 5 so formed with a loop 6 and a cross bar 7. In use, the loop is passed through a ring or the like on a floor near a w ndow and is expanded over the cross-bar. The rings 2 of the ladder have heads 3 which are passed through the side members and secured by binding or clips 4. Flexible hand holds of rope may be attached to rings on the window frame to facilitate stepping on to the ladder.
