Abstract

A system wherein an accelerometer or switch detects the increased tilt of a vehicle when heavy braking is applied and causes warning lights on the rear of the vehicle to light or flash.

Description

AN EMERGENCY BRAKING EARLY
WARNING SYSTEM.
EBWS for short this simple system will help to reduce rear end collisions and subsequently reduce insurance and injury claims.
EBWS
Emergency braking warning system This system will help reduce rear end collisions and insurance claims for whiplash etc., The system can work with either an accelerometer/or a trembler type switch that are found in certain car alarm systems that will trigger when the vehicle tilts past a certain angle.
My system will use this principle as when the vehicle is in motion along a motorway,free way etc. and the brakes are heavily applied as in an emergency stop situation,the vehicle would naturally tilt sharply forwards at a greater angle than it would if under normal braking situations.
This switch would be connected to the rear tail/signal and any additional warning lights that may also be fitted to the vehicle,to flash repeatedly to warn the drivers behind that heavy braking is in process and not just bleeding off a bit of speed as in most cases of motorway/free way braking.
