Abstract

253,135. Dubilier Condenser Co. (1925), Ltd., (Assignees of Dubilier, W.). June 5, 1925, [Convention date]. Condensers comprise a casing 1 with an aperture 2 and flange 3 over which fits a glass sleeve A with a slot 6 in which is sealed a hood 7. The plates 9 are fitted on rods 13 securing together metal end pieces 11, 12 which support insulating bars 15 centrally bored to receive bolts 17 on which the plates 10 are mounted. The latter are connected to an insulated terminal 20 sealed in the hood 7 and the plates 9 are grounded on the casing 1 by means of the members 11, 12. The casing may contain air, or may be evacuated, or filled with rare gas, and may be in one piece or in several pieces united by sealed leak-proof joints.
