Abstract
A combined apron and towel wherein the towel is detachable from the apron and the apron comprises of a waterproof material 3. The towel 6 comprising of an absorbable material will preferably be connected to the apron via matching Velcro (RTM) strips. The apron will preferably have a loop to place around the neck of the wearer 1 and tie backs to secure the apron around the wearers waist 2. The apron may also have pockets 4 and a flap covering the Velcro (RTM) strip 5.

Description
ackground Conventional practice is such that when a mother is bathing a baby one of the mother's arms is restraining the baby usuaOly on the underside of the baby's body and with the other hand she attempts to bathe the baby and also attempts to apply any cleansing products or such like.
The safe removal of the baby from the bath is then crucial but hampered by the baby becoming increasingly difficult to handle with the combination of water and products and the mother having to engage the use * ofatowelatthesametime. Th.
**e This practice currently places the baby at risk and could increase the stress levels in *e 0 the baby which further diminishes the ability to handle the baby securely.
This practice is further compromised if the towel is dropped or becomes folded therefore rendering the towel irretrievable for use.
Description
Invention use This application is in regard to Combined Baby Bathing Apron and Towel' a.nd is such that the article is a combination of the conventional apron and a baby bathing towel.
The apron is conventional in terms of profile and retention to the mothers body, i.e. loop around the neck and tie-backs around the waist.
The apron has a water-proof backing to the rear face.
The apron then has a strip of velcro which applied at the top of the apron, but covered * ." by a flap in order to enable the apron to be used for purposes beyond bathing.
The apron also has pockets thus enabling any relevant items required by the mother to be on-hand.
The baby bathing towel also has a strip of velcro which aligns to the strip on the apron thus enabling both items to be used at the same time.
Description
Method of use * Put the apron' on and secure ties around the waist.
* Attach the towel' via the velcro to the apron'.
* Remove the baby from the bath.
* Hold the baby close to the mothers chest within the apron/towel.
* Wrap the apron/towel' around the baby, i.e. fold the edges of the towel to enclose the baby.
* Gently detach the towel from the apron with the baby safely cossetted within the towel. * S.
