Abstract
A watch band having a rigid curved band body 2, an adapter 3 to attach to a watch, an adjustable band 5 and a clamp attaching the adjustable band 5 to the band body 2. Ideally the adapter 3 is a rotation adapter, pin lock adapter or a hinge snap adapter. Ideally the clamp is a push button release and lock or a multi-prong, bilaterally released type clamp. The band body may be covered with a layer 2a. There may be a display unit, a PCB unit, a microphone 8, a sensor unit 9 and a battery pack 10 on the band body 2. The display unit may be flat, curved or bendable. The band may have a notification alert unit 11 or a health data unit 12. There may be at least one speaker, and there may be a speaker on the outside and inside of the band body.

WATCH BAND
Field of the Invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a watch band comprising a band body, an adapter, a clamp and an adjustable band, wherein the band body is C-curved and rigid and the clamp connects the band body and the adjustable band.
The band body may comprise a PCB unit, a microphone, a sensor unit, a battery pack and optionally also other components.
Background of the Invention
[0002] Over the years, various types of watch bands have been proposed, including wrist watch straps or wrist watch bands of various sizes, shapes, materials, colours and designs.
Summary of the Invention
[0003] Problems with prior art watch bands include that they do not have more functions than being a strap device for the watch. Electronic components require upgrades or need to be replaced over a period of time. Traditional watches can last for several years or more: they are designed to last a long time.
The watch band of the present invention allows wearers to maintain the asset value of the wrist watch. The watch band allows wearers to transform an analog watch into a smart watch without incurring additional expenses.
[0004] The present invention overcomes these problems by the composition of the watch band and by including more devices into the watch band.
[0005] According to the first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a watch band comprising a band body, an adapter, a clamp and an adjustable band, wherein the band body is C-curved and rigid and the clamp connects the band body and the adjustable band.

Claims (26)
- Claims 1. A watch band (1) comprising a band body (2), an adapter (3), a clamp (4) and an adjustable band (5), wherein the band body (2) is C-curved and rigid, and the clamp (4) connects the band body (2) and the adjustable band (5).
- 2. A watch band according to claim 1, wherein the adapter is a rotation adapter (3a), a pin lock adapter (3b), a multi-pin lock adapter (3c), a hinge-snap adapter (3d) or an invisible pin lock adapter (3e).
- 3. A watch band according to claims 1-2, wherein the clamp (4) is a push-button release and lock type clamp (4a) or a multi-prong, bilaterally-released type clamp (4b).
- 4. A watch band according to claims 1-3, wherein the band body (2) is covered with a layer (2a).
- 5. A watch band according to claim 4, wherein the layer (2a) is made of cowhide skin leather, crocodile leather, PVC, rubber, silicone or snake skin leather.
- 6. A watch band according to claims 1-5, wherein the band body (2) comprises a display unit (6), a PCB unit (7), a microphone (8), a sensor unit (9) and a battery pack (10).
- 7. A watch band according to claims 1-6, wherein the display unit is made of OLED, LCD, TOLED, lET, PMOLED orAMOLED.
- 8. A watch band according to claims 1-7, wherein the display unit is flat.
- 9. A watch band according to claims 1-7, wherein the display unit is curved.
- 10. A watch band according to claims 1-7, wherein the display unit is bendable.
- 11. A watch band according to claims 1-6, wherein the display unit is made of LED and wherein the display unit is covered with a thin layer of a transparent or translucent plastic film (6d').
- 12. A watch band according to claim 11, wherein the transparent or translucent plastic film is a transparent or translucent PVC film.
- 13. A watch band according to claims 1-5, wherein the band body (2) comprises a notification alert unit (11), a PCB unit (7), a microphone (8), a sensor unit (9), a battery pack (10) and a health data unit (12).
- 14. A watch band according to claim 13, wherein the notification alert unit comprises at least one of the vibrator and a LED notification alert unit.
- 15. A watch band according to claims 13-14, wherein the health data unit (12) comprises at least one of a steps taken sensor (12a), a calories burned sensor (12b) and a sleep pattern sensor (12c).
- 16. A watch band according to claims 6-15, wherein the sensor unit (9) comprises at least one of a heart rate sensor (9a), a blood sugar levels sensor (9b) and a moisture sensor (9c).
- 17. A watch band according to claims 6-16, wherein the band body (2) further comprises at least one speaker (13).
- 18. A watch band according to claim 17, wherein there is a speaker located on the outside of band body (2).
- 19. A watch band according to claim 17, wherein there is a speaker located on the outside of the band body (2) and there is a speaker located on the inside of the band body (2).
- 20. A watch band of claims 6-19, wherein the band body (2) further comprises at least one sim card slot (14).
- 21. A watch band of claims 6-20, wherein the band body (2) comprises a sim card slot (14).
- 22. A watch band of claims 6-21, wherein the band body (2) further comprises a projector beam (15).
- 23. A watch band of claims 6-22 wherein the projector beam (15) is a holographic projector beam.
- 24. A watch band according to claims 6-23, wherein the PGB unit (7) comprises a processor (7a) and a memory (7b).
- 25. A watch band according to claims 1-24, wherein the band body (2) is made of leather, PVC, rubber, silicone or metal.
- 26. An assembly (16) comprising a watch (17) and a watch band of claims 1-25.Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows.Claims 1. A watch band (1) comprising a band body (2), an adaptable connector (3) for connecting the watch band to a watch, a clamp (4) and an adjustable band (5), wherein the band body (2) is C-curved and rigid, and the clamp (4) connects the band body (2) and the adjustable band (5), wherein the adaptable connector (3) is a rotation adaptable connector (3a).2. A watch band according to claim 16, wherein there is a speaker located on the outside of band body (2).18. A watch band according to claim 16, wherein there is a speaker located on the outside of the band body (2) and there is a speaker located on the inside of the band body (2).19. A watch band of claims 5-18, wherein the band body (2) further comprises at least one sim card slot (14).20. A watch band of claims 5-19, wherein the band body (2) comprises a sim card slot (14).21.
