Abstract

252,206. Dessauer, F., (Assignee of Metallbank und Metallurgische Ges., Akt.- Ges.). May 15, 1925, [Convention date]. Addition to 252,207. R÷ntgen-ray apparatus.-In apparatus according to the parent Specification for analyzing substances by means of R÷ntgen rays filters are interposed in the path of the rays entering the ionization chamber which are of such a nature and are so arranged as to cause essentially only characteristic radiation to emanate from the substance, the effect being to produce more denned kinks in the ionization record. The filters may be such as have a selective absorptive action or have an ionization capacity lower than that of the substance under examination. In the Specification as 'open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), the method of using the filters was not restricted to the apparatus of the parent Specification. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
