Colour kinematograph<y>.-Ordinary positive images are each projected by a beam the colour of which is successively changed. the colour periods and the periods of change being so short as to be undetected by the eye. As shown, projection is effected through filters 9 - - 9<c>, respectively colourless, red, yellow, and blue, the being carried by a disc 8 which bears two sets of filters and is rotated by maltese cross gearing 6, 7 through a flexible shaft 5 from the pin wheel 4 of the maltese cross mechanism feeding the film 1. Alternatively, the beam may be coloured by the use of a series of coloured objectives moved in the same manner as the filters, or by means of reflectors actuated mechanically or electrically.
