Seats, arrangement and disposition of.-In a passenger compartment for a railway vehicle, aircraft, or marine craft, a passage-way 16 is provided between tiers of seats 21 from which all the seats are accessible. The drawing shows a standard railway vehicle which is provided with upper tiers of seats supported on floors 20 midway of the height of the vehicle, the upper seats being reached by ladders 22 which also support the floors 20 by brackets 23.
