Abstract

250,823. Gorst, P. E. Sept. 18, 1925. Keys.-A device for enabling keys, particularly those of pin-tumbler locks, to be identified by the sense of touch, comprises a plate secured to the head of the key and carrying distinguishing projection or indentations. In the form illustrated, the device is stamped from sheet metal and has two pieces 1 connected by the springy arms 2 between which the bit of the key is thrust; the pieces 1 then resiliently grip the head of the key. The key is identified by the projections 4. Inturned edges provided around holes 3 on the parts 1 may snap into the usual hole in the key head.
