Abstract

250,603. Wiese, r. April 8, 1925, [Convention date]. Heating and cooking vessels; lids.-A vessel for cooking and steaming purposes comprises an outer container 1 and an inner vessel 2 provided with a perforated bottom and adjustable at various heights with the outer container. Near the top of the inner vessel is detachably fixed a cross-rod 4 to which is connected a lifting rod 5 passing through apertures in the cover 9 of the container 1 and in the locking bar 10 pivotally connected thereto. The rod 5 may have. notches adapted to co-operate with a latch arranged on the cover 9 to give a height adjustment of the vessel 2. The position of the inner vessel may also be varied by means of folding legs 7 pivotally attached to the bottom, or, according to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), by internally-projecting lugs on the outer container adapted to pass cut-away portions of the rim of the inner vessel and engage thereunder. The vessels have a safety valve 11 disposed in the central aperture of the cover 9.
