Abstract

250,559. Parent, G. A. M. Lamblin-. April 7, 1925, [Convention da.te]. -Vehicle lamps; lantern screens and shutters.- A head-lamp is provided with a front coloured screen 13, a movable rear concave reflector 14 and a horizontal shutter 20 so that, on meeting an obstacle such as an oncoming vehicle, the front white light can be replaced by coloured light, a light beam can be projected rearwardly, and another light beam projected upwardly. The back of the lamp comprises a coloured glass plate 5 and a lens 6 of clear or red glass, another clear glass or lens being secured in the tubular upper part of the lamp. The front screen 13, the reflector 14, and the horizontal shutter 20 are carried by a vertical spindle operated in opposition to a spiral spring by a flexible cable passing round a pulley 15.
